I went to school for photography and shortly after finishing my education opened my own studio offering graphic design and photography. I am self-taught when it comes to graphic design so it took a couple of years before I had a successfully running business. After about 8 years of running that business I was asked by a friend of mine if I wanted to help him start a belt line. I shut down my photography studio and started making belts and doing wax carving for large buckles. Again, self-taught with the wax carving it took a few years before I was comfortable with the process. After a few years of creating belts I grew bored of it and sold my share of the line in order to start creating jewelry. I first started with wax carved pieces and had them cast into sterling silver at local casting companies offering those pieces in limited editions of 100. I quickly grew tired of relying on casting companies after going through three of them so I started working with Silverclay. Silverclay is a .999 silver product that can me shaped and carved then fired with a torch or a kiln. This quickly became my product of choice because every piece that is carved and fired is a unique, one of a kind. I believe that my pieces truly stand out in this saturated market and hope that you feel the same.
